Wetlands provide numerous services: water purification, flood mitigation, and low-flow support. Unfortunately, they are disappearing at a rate three times faster than deforestation: 67% of wetlands have disappeared in France since 1970, including 50% between 1960 and 1990.

In this context, the Panzoult wetland was restored in a first phase of work by the Val de Vienne Rivers Syndicate in 2015, followed by a second phase in 2023 and 2024.
Come and discover the unique features of this wetland through an educational loop consisting of five informative panels.
