Description

  1. The village of Panzoult
    The church dedicated to St Vincent, with an 11th-century façade, 12th-century bell tower, 13th-century choir and 16th-century nave.
    The curious sundial on the south façade of the 17th-century pavilion adjoining the village hall (decipher it if you can).

  2. The recreation area
    Fishing, games, tennis, boules, but above all the starting point for walking trails. A fun walk on the theme of wetlands starts on the other side of the road.

  3. To proceed to stage 4, you have two options:
    - go through the castle
    - go through the vineyards

  4. The 15th-century castle (private property)
    Perched on the hillside, this is the former residence of the Lord of Panzoult.
    The communal cellar, carved out of the tuffeau stone, has been converted to host events.

  5. La Chauvinière - Picnic area
    This hamlet, which had 123 inhabitants in 1878, including several weavers, now has only a handful of residents.  Don't miss the wash house and its fountain.
