The Baffou marsh is a former communal poplar grove. With the help of the Park, this wetland has undergone major restoration work to return it to a natural environment conducive to biodiversity.
As you stroll along, you'll discover that this seemingly tranquil site is teeming with animals and plants with a hectic life. Each lives its own life, but is dependent on the others: the palmate newt is a pond dredger, the bordered dytic is a psychopathic athlete...

At the bend of a pond, admire the many amphibians and other species in total discretion thanks to an observatory and a wooden platform.

Keep your eyes peeled along the way! You're sure to spot a damselfly... or could it be a dragonfly? How can you tell them apart? It's easy: when at rest, dragonflies have their wings open, whereas damselflies don't! Come and get to know them and try to observe them.

Don't leave the village without visiting the superb Château de Brézé, with Europe's deepest dry moat, an underground network over 1 km long and a monumental 17th-century dovecote.
