The first part of the walk will take you through a meander of the Vienne, where you'll discover cattle breeding and cereal crops. The vast panorama of the banks of the Vienne invites you to take a look at the other side of the river. 

From Les Granges to La Pontonnerie, walk along the old L'Ile Bouchard / Les Ormes road. 

Description

  1. At the start, in place de l'église Saint-Pierre, you'll see the remarkable church portal with its 33 beards and fish-scale stones.
  2. Beautiful panorama over the Vienne, with views of the village of Mougon to the left and Trogues to the right.
  3. La Musse, a former fishing village. In 1861, it had 16 inhabitants.
  4. Les Granges, former fiefdom of the Île-Bouchard hat factory. Here you can see the château, now privately owned.
  5. South of Les Granges, you come to Le Lac, fief of Lac Bouin. This is a former manor house, with 2 towers guarding the entrance.
  6. Return to the valley at La Prée to reach the village of Parçay.
