In order to protect the habitat of nesting birds, access, landing, parking, bivouacking, camping, fires and the wandering of domestic animals on sandbanks not accessible by dry foot are prohibited from April 1 to August 15.
Within the Park, the Loire and Vienne rivers are decommissioned state-owned waterways. The department of Maine-et-Loire has chosen to provide markers on the Loire, from early May to late September, and from Montsoreau to Les Ponts-de-Cé. Channel markers are generally placed a few meters outside the channel limits:
