Walk through La-Tour-Saint-Gelin and discover its surroundings hamlet and its neo-gothic style church.

Description

The church, sanctified in the name of Saint-Gelin, was rebuilt in 1909. Most of the stained-glass windows were made by Jean-Louis Lobin.

The woods on this walk are home to migratory birds, like the Eurasian hoopoe, which you might hear while walking (hoop-hoop-hoop).

The Brémande Valley cuts the Richelieu Plateau, dominating the D 58 road. The sandy terrain during the summer favour the growth and production of asparagi, a local delicacy.

The walk goes through the Bruères hamlet, a big hamlet that was once as big as La-Tour-Saing-Gelin.
