Description
- At the start, in place de l'église Saint-Pierre, you'll see the remarkable church portal with its 33 beards and fish-scale stones.
- Beautiful panorama of the Vienne River, with views of the village of Mougon to the left and Trogues to the right.
- La Musse, a former fishing village. In 1861, it had 16 inhabitants.
- Les Granges, former fiefdom of the chapellerie de L'Île-Bouchard. Here you can see the château, now privately owned.
- South of Les Granges, you come to Le Lac, fief of Lac Bouin. This is a former manor house, with 2 towers guarding the entrance.
- The village of Beauchêne on your right is built on the ruins of an ancient fortified castle, and on your left, the village of Chandres.
- You arrive at Vaurayé, a former priory that has been converted into a dwelling. You enter the woods on the border with the commune of Chézelles.
- Dorée woods and the driveway leading to the château.
- A path winds through the woods to Les Rosiers, a former
- Templar farm with a magnificent view over the valley.
Return to the valley at La Prée to reach the village of Parçay.
